RJC Women's News
After a two year absence of a Sisterhood in the RJC, four young energentic women decided to join forces and re-establish a women's group. We changed the name to RJC Women, decided what our goals would be, formed committees, and got to work. We united the Shul at our Pre-Purim luncheon, which was a huge success. It is the obligations of every RJC Woman to be a member - so women of all ages join us and make the year 2000 record one for RJC Women's membership.

In our effort to serve the synagogue and community as well as to add meaning to the lives of Jewish women we have done the following:

Yearly Donations
Ohel $250
UJA $300
RJC Journal $613
Rabbi's Chesed Fund $180
OU Membership $180
Other Donations
RJC Women contirbuted $18,000 to the building fund for the constuction of the new building: $5,000 for the renovation and furnishing of the bride's room
$ 600 toward the purchase of a folding macjine for the Shul
$ 250 to the Center of Battered Women
$ 350 as a sponsor for the Women's Forum of RIverdale
$3,190 for the purchase of a Chanukiah and Havadallah
